Re: Republicans Shutdown US Government Over Healthcare

2 days before the government actually shutdown, they were willing to delay, and not defund, Obamacare. That's not after the fact. They weren't prepared to surrender their ideals, while Democrats weren't even considering negotiating with them. That in itself shows you that you can't put the most blam...

Re: Republicans Shutdown US Government Over Healthcare

The republicans were willing to negotiate. They just weren't willing to surrender entirely to the democrats demands. They went from defunding to delaying. That, my friend, is a compromise. You said all ObamaCare does is help the poor get affordable coverage. Yet, if that were the case, they wouldn't...

Re: Republicans Shutdown US Government Over Healthcare

Yeah, no. The Republicans compromised, saying they were willing to delay the vote for a year, and fund the rest of the government. If the democratic party can sit down and talk to totalitarian regimes, and not members of an opposing political party in their own country, they are one of the most desp...

Re: Why Iran Seeks Constructive Engagement.

Politicians always have a hidden agenda, and given Iran's deceptive past, I wouldn't have even acknowledged what they said until they had taken down their nuclear program. At that point, I'd consider seeking diplomatic relations. If they had a nuclear program, it would take them 40-70 years to full...

Evanglion

So... There's a series called Evanglion Neon Genesis. It's about these things called angels, invading Earth. Conventional weapons, are, of course, relatively useless on these things. As a result, they got these things robots called Evanglions to fight them. To pilot these, for some reason, they coul...

Re: West Intervention in Syria?

Think of it like this. If Syria did in fact order it, then the US can kill 2 birds with 1 stone. While I'm sure that Assad used chemical weapons, and agree it's a justified action to hit Syria, The sheer fact of the matter is, if the US can get the UN to hit Syria, then Iran will respond with milita...
