I guess it is because they want too feel good, and possibly better about themselves. But be warned, it's not that they are insecure...some girls just have an interest in make-up. They enjoy playing around with the colours and the different 'tools and brushes'.

I personally don't wear much make-up myself, I feel there is no need. I'm happy with what I look like Sometimes on special occasions I'll wear some mascara or eyeliner - not that I need it, I have enough eyelashes as it is!

Anyways, watch this video,I don't really understand the aim behind this video. It's probably saying that everyday after wearing make-up, you should wash it off, or the consequences can be DISASTROUS:

Yes,And that ends up in boys realizing which women wear make-up or not,so they choose the naturally beautiful,while the girls mostly can't tell if a boy lies,so most boys live happy,while most girls unhappy

because the makeup that i have to put on to model breaks my skin out bigtime, so i wear makeup everywhere to avoid looking like a red-dotted monster

Ummm i dont think it's because we feel insecure. We wear it because yes we feel prettier with it on but that doesn't meant that we think we don't look pretty without it. I personally don't like putting on a lot because it's too much of a hassle but i put it on once in a while to be more presentable and stuff at certain events.
