after u have said what u need to say, make sure she's not angry, if she is, try running and keep your distance from her for a while (thats exactly what i would do)

Preety late to post this but if you haven't said anything just tell her "We can only be friends" I can't see any problem. well, in the worst case you will be punched or slapped or kicked or maybe unhappy but don't give up... Worse things happen if she DOES slap you. If you tell her near a cliff you will better watch out.
