Characters Powers

Since I saw Chaos' adorabru little post about making your character, I thought i'd cover powers.

Tiers

Realistic Melee: Just as it sounds, hand to hand and weapons that exist and are usable in our existence.

Unrealistic Melee: Things like horns, claws, tails and the such can be used in this form of combat.

Hyper Melee: This is where things begin to get intense, and turn into a pissing contest in RP. Hyper Melee is things like Dragonball Z, where characters move at Hypersonic sounds and can crack planets. Lets say two characters state their speed at the beginning of a battle, and one is predominately faster than the other. If they make the same movement, such as sending a punch, any judge would say "He stated his speed at the beginning of the match, it matches up with his character" yadda yadda and give that hit to that guy. This is why having exact statistics is important, to keep an rp balanced and fair. If a Judge feels a fight is one sided he can "nerf" someones character to keep it fair and fun.

Low Powers: Low Powers should be things like Basic Magic, Elemental Control and "Spiderman" levels of strength. You shouldn't be tossing around buildings and you shouldn't be summoning Bahamut the friggin' Dragon God. Preps are important, since we're getting into powers. Depending on the strength of an energy or magical based attack and the damage it will do you need certain "prep turns". Lets say i'm charging a fireball, if its just going to sear them then it takes one turn. It I want it to knock them off their feet and do some serious damage, two turns. If I want to have a kill shot, then 3-4 turns.

Mid Powers: Mid Powers. This is very important. Most fights here on FWG are going to be Mid Tier Powers. Mid Tier Powers are things such as Madaras Great Fireball would be acceptable, and Demi-God tier statistics would also be acceptable. Preps are the same here, though some summon are acceptable (Summon and certain moves should be run by a judge before a fight.)

High Powers: Jeez, here's where it gets sooper fun. Mid Powers to High Powers is a HUGEEEE jump. Things like Superman tiers of Strength, Dimensional Manipulation and Polarity Manipulation call this Tier home. I suggest FWG stays out of this tier as much as they can, because ridiculous amounts of Metaphysics are involved. How powers react with certain others, such as Necrotic Energy reacting violently to anything non Death-related. If you want to have a High-Tier fight please have Mikalo or myself be the ref.

Refs: Refs are important. Every fight needs to have a referee. If its low-mid tier powers, anyone like Jaxon or Mattias will do. If you have a high tier fight please leave the referring to Mikalo, potentially Potato or myself.
