Academy of War: The Stone Secret

Postby ghost 9 » 31 Mar 2012, 19:51

As Ghost and Josh neared the source of the immense amount of power, the attacks on their mentality became stronger as the man began to lash out to stop their advance, and yet the man could not make any leeway as the children became ever closer to him. While it was using all of his concentration to attack their minds, it was using not but half of theirs to defend theirs. When the man came into sight, he focused with all of his might, and swarmed Josh's mind, preventing his consciousness from fleeing into another body. As he surrounded Josh's mind, he constricted and stabbed at it, attempting to force his barrier to fall. Ghost launched his full on attack with Kirstin on the Light Hexan's mind, and tore through the man's barrier as the man had done to Josh's. The man did not even flinch at the action, and continued to attack Josh's. Upon entering his mind, a trap had sprung and overwhelmed Kirstin in a memory from which she could not escape. Ghost broke through the walls of the memory and then let lose a torrent of energy, forcing it to disipate. Then he and Kirstin hurried once again to capture the man's mind. The man had destroyed Josh's barreir and was not heading towards him, with a determined mindset. Josh took one of his memories, and went into it, escaping the man's attempt to subdue him. As Josh entered the memory, he began to alter it, making there be an army of powerful Dark Hexans, and then multiplied his weapon, giving it to each of them. As the man entered, the army attacked him in an attempt to overwhelm him.

Ghost dodged a three headed dog that was 3 stories tall, from which had been summoned by a demented memory. Ghost spun to the left, dodging the dog's gaping jaws, and then flicked his sword, leaving a massive gash on the dog's nose. The first head whined and withdrew shortly, while another two blood thirsty jaws swung down and opened wide to try and devour him, but before they could, Ghost jumped up and landed on it's back, unsheathing his sword once again. The dog's head turned in an attempt to follow and kill him, but Ghost merely jumped back, and landed a blow on the dog's back, which burried deep into the dog's skin, and burrying itself in the dog's spine. With a yelp, it collapsed to the ground and slid several feet, Ghost hanging onto the dog by his sword most of the way, until the sword slipped out, and he rolled onto the ground. He propped himself up with his sword, and then stood up. He formed a blade on his wrist, slammed it into the dog, and cut in the shape of a U. The U glew bright green, and then the fabricated dog disipated in purple smoke. Ghost and Kirstin began to run toward the man's consciousness, which they could now see was a crimson sphere. Instead of just throwing themselves into what was bound to be another trap, Ghost formed a cross bow, turned the wrist blade into a bolt, and shot it at the sphere. A half man, half snake beast tried to stop it, but it was too late, for it past by his fingers and hit the sphere, destroying the consciousness. Josh had headed toward the back of the memory as the man began to tear through the army which lay before him, when he glew a bright green, and then dissipated in a purple mist. He had a stone! Ghost shouted toward them. And he found out that there's one where you two are at right now! Kirstin added in, while sifting through the man's memories, unafraid of the now nonexsistent traps. Josh entered the mind and began to sift through the memories as Ghost and Kirstin were doing, hoping to find more information.

"That should about do it." Max said from the bottom of the tunnel, in the first half of the chamber. He had added a massive wall that was twelve feet thick, with a door equally as big, making it so to get to the stone's doors, they had to go through the first set, which was a dangerous feat all on it's own. For besides the first half being a flamable mess, where if you walked in and stepped incorrectly you'd get roasted, or where the second half if you didn't say the proper incantation you'd be crushed, but in the first part of the chamber, there was a six foot drop from the exit of the tunnel filled with spikes, and balisalts all around it, prepared to fire upon the entry of an enemy. The gates of the first chamber had also been trapped, for if you didn't put in the right combination, it would explode and incinerate you and your soul. The area was made so you could not send your mind into the second part of the chamber, nor could you teleport in, making it a true stronghold, one that would and should be considered impenetrable.
