FWG RP Story: Chapter 10. Stationed in the Shadow Kingdom

Postby Shadowstar1922 » 01 Aug 2012, 20:06

“What?! What about the search for Big Eyes!” I yelled.
“Big Eyes will be hunted down by the Earth Kingdom. I need you to go to the Shadow Kingdom. Help Aros with what he needs. And protect the country at all costs.” Shadowstar ordered.
“But why? Why there?” I pestered. I didn't like this. I was forced to hunt down Big Eyes, now I'm forced to be stationed in the Shadow Kingdom. And the word “stationed” was used over and over again, like I was some soldier.
“Because the Shadow Kingdom is basically on the front with Crimson. We need to protect that land at all costs. Crimson has no navy or airforce, so the Crimsen Army will be focused on land, which means right through the Shadow Kingdom,” Shadowstar explained, “ Besides. I used to rule the Shadow Kingdom. I'd like to see a good fighter like you help protect it.”
“Good fighter!?! You haven't even trained me!” I yelled again.
“So what? After this war, we'll do training. Just not now. Ask Aros to find a trainer.” Shadowstar suggested.
“But I control ICE! Not Dark Magic! Are you even listening to me?” I yelled. I kept following him through Earth City. He was preparing to depart to the Wonderlanders to help Fuipui modernize the land, and to also visit the citizens there. Shadowstar planned to travel to every province in the new nation of the Galactic Federation.
“I'm trying not too, but you keep following me! Now go. I've made your very own clay bird so you can fly with Aros to the Shadow Kingdom.” Shadowstar said.
I stopped there. I didn't want to bother him anymore. I didn't want him to flip out on me like he did in the hospital.
“Well, what is Bob gonna do?” I asked.
“Bob is taking the role as the Governor of Shadow Forest. He'll be busy there. Rebuilding the area like I will be in the Wonderlanders.” He replied.
I sighed. No use argueing with the “Chairman of the Galactic Federation” I mocked in my mind. Before he was the Protector of the Shadow Forest, like Mustache had told me. I began to rethink about when I talked to the fair King of the Desert the other day.

“So, how was Shadowstar like before all this?” I asked him.
Mustache was sitting at his desk, writing down on what seemed to be important papers.
“Why, Shadowstar used to be the King of the Shadow Kingdom before Aros. He did a good job. Had good allies. The people loved him. But he grew tired of leadership like he always has in the past, and stepped down. He ran off and hid away in the Shadow Forest. Aros took over, and he managed to continue to keep the nation together. Some say he does better then Shadowstar!” He said, with a chuckle in the last sentence.
“So, Shadow went to his home in the Shadow Forest and decided to protect the forest, and it's mystical powers. He killed all tresspassers who ever dared venture in the forest that wanted to destroy it. He welcomed some visitors, but most were never welcomed. Then, when the Crimsen Army came up, he comes from the shadows and decided it's his duty to protect everyone.” the King said in a rather mockfull tone.
“Well, isn't that a good thing?” I asked.
“Well, Not necessarily. Shadowstar has a tendency to think it's his duty to set things straight when events go crazy. Sometimes it's annoying, others it's grateful.”
“What about now?”
Mustache paused, and thought for a moment.
“Probably both. I mean, he did unite the nations of FWG against a big threat, but here he is now in my Kingdom, in my city running around like a mad man. Hard to keep track of him when he won't relax.”

I began to focus on the present, trying to forget about the talk with Mustache. Right now, I was flying to the Shadow Kingdom with Aros. Aros was a very silent during the fly. It seemed like he was reluctant as well to have me aboard.
“So, what am I gonna be doing in the Shadow Kingdom?” I asked, trying to start a conversation.
“You'll be appionted a general in the Shadow Army, and be given your very own army.” Aros said.
“What?!?” I said, shocked. I'm gonna be given my own army? I'm not even a good fighter!

“You do know how strong I am, right?”
“Shadowstar informed me of your strength.” Aros said calmly.
A silent moment passed.
“Well, how many soldiers will I even be given?” I asked.
“It's gonna be the 8th division, so that'll be 5,000 soldiers.” He replied.
“Wow...” I said quietly. My own devision.
“Who's incharge of the first devision?” I asked again. I was beginning to get more curious about the Shadow Kingdom's military force.
“Alice.”
