Prologue

Tamamo No Mae.A woman of great vanity and even greater strength not alot of people know much about this person's past not even how she aquired her tails,it all started I'm the sizeable village of Yamatai where on the sixteenth of the first month in the year of 1129 a Baby with the most greenest eyes that anyone had ever been seen was born from mrs.Tsuki No Mae The baby was give the title by her father as a symbol that she would grow up to be the most beautiful and graceful girl in the land. Unbeknownst to both of the parents the baby would be a target of a spiteful kitsune named Yao jealous of the possibility of someone competing with her so one night she broke into the house creeping ever so slowly along the wooden floor her single tail keeping her balance as she attempted to brand the child with magics the parents burst in beating the woman back,and off into the night though something strange had happened to their daughter...

Enough of the power of Yao had passed on to her that a pair of lumps started at her head and one on her lower back not noticeable at first but,a noticeable thing at first were the orange/red tattoo like markings that had appeared on her chest and around her eyes now after a week there was multiple instances of the baby letting out cries of pain that the parents did not know what to do about so they let it go on as then two weeks in there was a single silky fox-like tail swaying at the back of the baby along with a pair of Vulpine ears that had sprouted on the too of her head that always seemed to be listening,the parents shocked by this seeked a spiritual guide asking for advice and suggested cutting it off he replied "No,everything happens for a reason,and if the tail comes off it will just regrow" so skipping ahead a few years...

We come to the time when Tamamo was Six years old she was just beggining to go to school even she knew about her tail and her family's desire to hide it but during her first year she felt that same pain again that she felt six years back coming home one day to find that her tail had became two! "Talk about double trouble"she exclaimed as she showed her parents who gasped in shock they consulted the advisor once again to be met with a similar reply but a difference this time"when she comes of age she will be of the three tails,you must send her off to fend for herself with the others of her kind" the No Mae's were miffed to say the least returning home dissatisfied and unhappy that they would have to let there daughter go the moment she hit tail number three...

Twelve years later 'twas the eighteenth birthday of Tamamo No Mae as her excitement could barley be contained her eyes the whole day had a glint in them as her mischevious teenage streak showed no sign of going away the whole day was filled with guests presents and Tamamo's favourite food,fried tofu,it was the food that she would eat even if she had to pull a few sky moves to get her hands on it her absolute favourite,as she did feel this feeling of happiness she felt a feeling of pain once again even her parents had,all but forgotten the coming of the third tail as she made an excuse to find a private room while her third tail emerged...

Later that night Tamamo was cast from her house with instructions of her mother's to reveal her true identity to no one even at this she smiled and waved goodbye to her parents her friends her family her fried tofu every night to set out for the real world as she began her journey in the continent of sentora.

And that is where our story begins and this first chapter ends more shall come and give TDP tips on how to improve Ye olde story writing and wether she should move this story to another forum altogether
