S10 Mechanics

Because apparently nobody understands the mechanics of Speed Standard except for the hand-full of Akolites I have trained, and Mikalo, I'm going to make a topic over how to use Speed Standard Combat, specifically, S10. [ Stands for Speed Standard 10]

First, let's go over some vocabulary words.

Attempt: This is the first post in an attack, in Speed Standard. This needs to be 10 words or more. You cannot physically touch or harm the enemy in an attempt, because it's just an attempt, and is yet to make contact.

Connection: This is when your attempt succeeds. You are not allowed to control the enemy after you hit them, but you can state the effect of the attack. Use common sense. This also needs to be 10 words or more.

Dodge: For someone to dodge, they need to have posted an evasion that is at-least ten words, after the attempt, and before the connection. If the dodge doesn't make any sense, or the logic is faulty, it can be voided and the attack will land.

Auto: An auto is when you make an attempt and a connection in the same post. This is considered void and is not a plausible attack.

Speed fights are divided in the following ways.

Hand To Hand (HTH): No powers or weapons allowed, punching, kicking, and grapples are all that are allowed. Passive abilities are permitted as long as they don't interfere with the fight.

Blades: Blades doesn't mean, just bladed objects. Blades stands for all weaponry. No striking with hands or feet, only use the weapon that your character has. Projectiles are also allowed as long as they are void of supernatural prowess.

Melee: This is a combination of blades and hand to hand. However, there are no projectiles allowed in this variant of speed.

Low Tier Powers: This variant permits low tier supernatural abilities, such as forming energy blasts, moving at super speed, super strength, etc. Pretty much, as long as you stay away from traveling to other dimensions, manipulating time and space, your character's abilities qualify as low tier.

High Tier Powers: This variant permits high tier supernatural abilities. High Tier Abilities dabble in Space/Time manipulation. Pretty much, for OP characters.

All-Out: As the name suggests, there are no limits on these kind of fights. Everything is allowed simultaneously.

Ex.
*grunts as he moves forward, anon mouse used his metal tooth pick as a ledge to pick up momentum,the sword stabs ground as he tries to aerial kick this guys ugly face*

eventually you get used to it

I read it too, I may suck at speed, but I still got to the semifinals in a speed tourney, I am proud of that.
