The Battle Between Brothers: Alpha Tenchi VS Riku Nightmare

Postby RikuNightmare » 13 Dec 2014, 02:07

He stood very tall for a young man in his early twenties, six foot three in height and weighing about one hundred and eighty pounds with some change. His face looked like the heaviest thing about him - especially his eyes. They were always so murky, despite being as bright and reflective as an emerald. His lips were tucked into a frown, and he looked angry. In all reality, he was bored. His hair was not brushed all to well, it still seemed to fly off in every direction, but it always fell in front of his face, even if he hated when it did that. But so long as he could see, he couldn't complain all too much. It was black as night, his hair, but muted. There was a vague hue of grey in his hair, as though it was trying to brighten like a rising sun, but it stayed like the darkest nights. Falling just around his face, some fringes were tossed down and tickled the bridge of his nose, but his eyes remained prominent through what little shadows they cascaded over his face. Despite his face, his more obvious qualities were the ones that made him stand out the most amongst a crowd. Not being human definitely had its characteristics to add to Riku’s deranged gene pool. Beneath those tight lips of his, his teeth were sharp and almost elongated. His canine teeth often bit and cut the inside of his mouth after devouring a meal, and his ears were heavily articulated beneath his mane of almost velvet-soft hair.

He did not look it (unless one paid close attention to his teeth and ears), but he was stronger than human. After all, he wasn't. His arms seemed to be thin, and his legs and body did not seem broad with muscles and some hefty mass. He was relatively thin, but not anorexic. He was a full man, just not broad as some would think he should be for some of the feats he could preform. With a lack of commitment, he could lift cars and toss them like a man would a pebble, skipping across a lake. With more asphalt and metal. He could run vast distances, almost blinding to the eye if he had purpose to run. He could easily cover twenty feet in a second. He could accomplish more if he tried. Riku was highly athletic, although he did not seem like the type. When he lived in Metacog, the city of machines, Meebu and he would go outside at six AM and run. It was nostalgic to run in the morning, when Slade woke him up to start his day. At the time he was only thirteen years old, and he could run circles around some of the most athletic men in the human world. Usually, though, he preferred to walk. Without much consequence, he walked throughout nature. Sitting on trees, or even (and this was his own secret) reading a book or two. Meebu often played games, but it never bothered him. They even goofed around on some of their most serious days.

Being Riku’s best friend, Meebu had been there since the beginning. He watched Riku blossom into the young man who stands today, and could recall the days where he began to learn of himself. Even though Ash had told Riku not to wander into the forest, for there were dangers he could not imagine, he decided against her wishes and found out the hard way what his mother had meant. The oversized bug that buzzed in from of him threateningly pointed its stinger at him, and when he closed his eyes he swore he was dead. Meebu was high into a tree at the time but witnessed this none the less. Riku’s hands pushed out, and a wave of energy burst from his hands, and the particles in the air oscillated until they produced such heat around the bug, there was a spark and they lit it aflame, reducing it to ash within seconds. When Riku came to, his eyes opened to see nothing but a pile of warm ashes gently being picked up by the wind. Meebu was astonished that they shared something in common: fire. While Riku learned more, and so did Meebu, they learned that it was not a mastery over Fire Riku had figured out, but rather the ability to influence something called “Kinetic Energy”, or the energy of motion. He had disturbed air particles with an extension of his own force, until their energy became over dramatic and released the energy in the form of fire, resulting in the death of a bug. Eventually, they learned he could do more than just change the energy of motion, but rather he could alter the form of things. He could “alter the way things operate by functioning with the opposite pole of whatever is happening,” as Slade, his Father, put it. As Riku grew, and hatred flourished in his heart, Meebu was still witness to the amount of power Riku gathered by slaughtering people and stealing their souls. With The Vampir, he acquired powers to influence more than just the motion of objects, or the polarity of abilities. Then he figured out about the radiation of energy from the soul, which he could manifest into a blue flame. This was a curse more than it was a burden but progressively, he could alter the fundamental force of Gravity, resembling someone who was Telekinetic; naturally he figured out he could alter the density of objects, bringing him favour in his fights with manipulating Gravity. Until his Uncle, Zoran Vampir, cornered him with his other Uncle, Mouse, and his Cousin, Zandkar, he was never able to produce the manifestation of the wicked – turning possibilities of harm and sin into form of whatever Riku desired. Until recently, he opposed this “Dread”, and crafted a new ability: Valor. The power of all Good, while Dread remained as the power of all Evil. Regardless of his power, Meebu knew he would not always resort to this massive amount of power, but rather use his head and fight fairly. Instead, Riku would gladly use his own, natural attributes and his weapons over fighting with the very things that turned him into a killer. Especially the Aura he emits.. Lately, the once blue flames evolved, they became much more difficult to control, and the influence of hatred has planted a new seed.

They were even the same in mannerisms, and with the way Riku dressed? He seemed to be a human version of Meebu. Casually sporting a white button-up shirt over top of an undershirt, tucked into the hem of his black jeans and held together by a tightly wound belt. The belt was made of boiled leather, lacquered black and the buckle was made of solid silver. The poly-cotton shirt he wore buttoned up to the nape of his neck, and the collar hugged him nicely. Hidden under the fold of his collar was the silky red tie that ran under his blazer and over the line of fitted buttons. Cutting diagonally across were rows of blue stitched with thinner lines of white, like a spiraling down the length of his tie. The blazer had four bronzed buttons, all designed intricately with flower-esque patterns. Only two of them popped into slits in the material to lock, whereas the other two were for show. The trimmed sleeves cuffed at his wrist and ended, effectively hiding the ink that stained his skin permanently. In their design, seals fixed to waving strings of magenta, and the runic language upon his flesh spoke odd tongues he never understood to this day: the only thing he knew now was that they provided pockets for his entire arsenal and whatever weapon he called upon, whether it be: Brotherhood, Vinculum, The Vampir, Ravage, Maelstrom, or Serpentine, they could easily slip out of his sleeves in a blinding light. Beneath his blazer were two 9mm pistols filled to the brim with 20 shots each, and they were ordinary compared to the rest. They were tucked firmly in his belt, at the base of his back and hidden from sight. Over the ensemble of shirt, tie, blazer, belt, jeans, and freshly polished, leather combat boots, he wore a light coat that ended at mid-calf. The inside layer of material was a bright white colour, and silky smooth to the touch, while the outside was black and soft as the outside of a poly-cotton mesh. It even came with a hood affixed to the collar of the coat and covered his mess of hair, creating another layer of shadows that tried to hide his pale face. Indeed, he looked like the human version of Meebu.

Together they travelled for days at a time, and in this particular river land, merged with flat lands and a thick forest, they vanished and appeared at random only to observe beauty. Riku's left hand caressed a beautiful, pink flower. His fingers ran around the perimeter, then cupped it in his palm. Crushing it and ripping it from the ground, he opened his hand once straightened out.

“Woops, gone to waste,” he chuckled.

Tossing it aside, Riku's eyes wavered from the line of tall trees, roughly thirty feet into the air. They bristled wonderfully under the afternoon breeze, and he couldn't have asked for a better day. One thing in the cloudy sky he saw was Meebu, soaring overhead.

Now the flat portion of the forest they were in had been cut just at the edge by a shallow river, only about a foot in depth. The actual land, where the grass grew was only about one hundred and sixty-five feet by one hundred and forty feet. It wasn't too grand, just similar to a regular baseball field. He was only a few steps away from the river, which flowed to the north, and came from the south. His back obvious faced west, and he looked eastward, where the flat land spread shortly. He always expected things to interrupt him, but today he let his guard down.. Just a little bit.

He rested his hand on his first sword, lacquered in red, silver, and black. It was tucked into the belt but also hooked by the small rings from his jeans, to ensure the safety of his scabbard, or the blade in all. The hilt's pommel was a bronze-ish gold, and the cord wrapped around it was firm. He curled his fingers onto the hilt and rested the pad of his thumb on the pommel. Brotherhood had an aura about it that seemed to be different than Riku's. The air around it was heavy, and looking upon it caused a certain amount of doubt to overcome one's mind. It spilled energies that should not be unlocked.

Ah yet another off-site person, nice to meet you, apologies if my tone sounds condescending but I have not good experiences with people from that site.
