Differences between Casual and Story RP for dummies

Postby BluesDotEXE » 06 Dec 2015, 02:44

The one thing people can mix things with is Story and Casual. I'll just be laying out basic crap. Let me know if you see more differences via PM and I'll list them.
Story Differences
• Tend to follow a more serious path.
• Have events, like in a storybook.
• Characters that fight against enemies to proceed.

Casual Differences
• More or less, normal, silly stuff.
• Anything can happen in Casual RP.
• Waddling around or randomly moving about
Don't try, do.

I pretty much define and or invented the other one with 'waddling around' and ' messing around to not be taken seriously'

Idk. I wouldn't say story RP necessarily requires fighting an enemy. Sure, a conflict may be had, but conflict can be internal or external. What's more, the whole point of RP in general is that anything can happen. The difference within casual RP is that anything can happen without specified reason. And as for "following a path" within RP, I don't ever consider it that. It sounds too restrictive. The mood would be more serious, imo, not the path.
