Everyone in a town has a mental superpower, but they are physically unable to tell anyone what it is until someone guesses it first. Many of them also don't have control over when they use said powers. That's the main premise, but I'll get into specifics later.

Synopsis: In the quiet town of Berryton, New Hampshire, things have been quite slow. The children go to school and the adults go to work, a natural order has been established. One day, the mayor is giving a speech. The topic is unannounced, and the speech had not been planned. He steps up to the podium, and starts screaming. All he can do is scream. In a moment, he brings his hands to his face, still screaming. Before the eyes of the people of Berryton, the mayor rips his own out. He collapses onto the podium and is declared dead minutes later.

And then the men and women start repeating the actions. For some reason, they seem more vulnerable to this. Eventually, their children begin as well. Slowly, the people of Berryton are all violently committing suicide in public places.


Meanwhile, in a government facility not 20 miles outside of the 'town', a government agent shakes his head. "Another failure," he says, and shuts off a monitor. It likes pans out from the monitor to the agent, the monitor had the view of the town on it. And that's just the intro.

The show is actually about a branch of a government agency that does screwed up things to innocent people, such as the eye thing and releasing deadly pathogens and stuff. Every episode details a different event, or every arc, most ending in a failure and a shutdown of a city or neighborhood.
