Two things:

Norman Conquest.

Guillotine.

The just-about-by-the-skin-of-their-teeth successful invasion of England by the Normans (who were at war with the French) and a British invention adopted by the French? What have they got to do with it?

Normans still associated to France and still successful invasion-an invasion that is deeply rooted into English history and systems.

Aha, you make me laugh. The Guillotine was invented by Antoine Louis (a French) and was proposed by Joseph-Ignace Guillotin (surprise surprise, also French). I was also referring to the excessive usage of the Guillotine as a favourite death technique during the French Revolution whilst also subtly reminding you just how much us French love to behead people. Hint Hint.

The Normans were associated with France in the same way the US are associated with Russia - They're neighbours, and they hate each other.

King Harold lost the battle because his army was not prepared. Most of his best fighters died at the Battle of Stamford Bridge and the entire army were exhausted from the battle and the 18-day force-march south (from York to Hastings) to meet William’s army. When they arrived in the South, William attacked almost immediately - there was no rest period. The Normans also had cavalry (knights), whereas Harold's had mostly been killed at Stamford Bridge. William also had a considerable amount of luck. The wind changed, meaning the Normans managed to cross the channel ridiculously quickly whilst Harold was still in the north, which gave them time to build a fortified camp and get plenty prepared. Even so, William was close to defeat, to the point where much of his infantry began to retreat (often inaccurately said to be deliberate). Harold's undisciplined peasants that he'd picked up on the march from York to Hastings got excited and pursued, causing the rest of the army to believe that they had been ordered to do so, despite Harold attempting to stop them. They chased them through marshland which massively slowed them down and allowed William (admittedly cleverly) to capitalise on it by ordering his cavalry to ride them down. The whole arrow-in-the-eye thing is uncertain, but his badly-timed death would have been the killer blow either way. It's all in the Bayeux Tapestry.

Then again, stay away from Alabama, next thing they'll ban love as well as marriage too.

I'm not talking about general beheading machines, I'm talking about THE Guillotine specifically and no, it wasn't invented by the British, it was invented by the French (angled blade being the key component). Also, you fail to pick up on the basic, major passive aggressive point I'm making. Stop insulting my country. These were simply on the spot things to show you that France isn't the weak country you think it is and you shouldn't be taking the p*** out of it. Criticising a country is one thing, but insulting it when you know there is someone from that country (that btw you know doesn't like this and will very likely see this post) is just immature, stupid and disrespectful.

The fact that it is now part of France just means France conquered them. Even more reason for them to be divided. The Mongolian Empire was most of Asia, including the Chinese Empire; That did not mean that those places that were once conquered by the Xi Xia, Chin, and Sung were basically conquered by the Mongolians.

Did you not see the picture? It pretty much is a guillotine. The idea for the Guillotine was taken from the Scottish Maiden, which was designed in light of the Halifax Gibbet.

'Ayy lmao' does not negate any offence nor stifle it. No matter how much you think it does.

I'll chill when you stop continuously taking stabs at my country.

'irony deficiency'
A common deficiency in which the brain cannot process humor that contains irony.
George loves jokes about farting and pooping. Be when he's presented with any humor that has a hint of irony, his eyes just glaze over. He suffers from a serious case of irony deficiency.
Flobalob posts a derogatory definition of urban dictionary seemingly to undermine the usage of urban dictionary. Once realising this, he weeps for the irony deficiency has overcome him once again.'
