put it on a savings account
wait for the interest:
which at only 1% will be 100.000
(but since interest rates are a bit higher, the return will be higher too)

and just for reference, 100.000 is about 3-4 times the pay of the average which is about 30.000 annual.
So there would still be left to save along with a few luxuries.
