it's kinda sweet though, because they died together, they were probably holding each other, and as they died, they thought of all their old memories with their friends, and especially being together with the other. Memories like their first kiss, or arguments that were ridiculous, and laugh at it to the very day they died. And they probably realized that they loved the other, and was glad to die with them at the same time and go to heaven with each other. They're lives ended tragically, but at least they died together, right?
It is very sad, but it's also sweet if you think about it.

Also,when an apartment is burning,you don't hold the person next to you,but run for an escape route :/
It must have been a horrible Christmas.
