national colours, a flag of purple on the top half, orange on the bottom and a pentagram in the middle

What would you call the nationality/culture of the people who live in this country? There's possibilities this country could colonize, lets say Africa and it'd say, "insert culture name here" Africa. Much like, British to those who live in the UK, French to those who live in the French Republic.

And, I cannot do a pentagram, so would a Star, Tree, flower, or eagle be okay to replace it? O.o

Yes, in the game, governments change aaaaalll the time. The only country I have never seen have a revolution is probably Germany/NGF/Prussia and Austria.

Change of government can be the ruling party makes reforms to prepare for a new government(ex. conservative party converts to reactionary, pass reforms, presidential dictatorship forms) an armed revolution when the current government and/or ruling party does not meet the demands of the people and they rise up to overthrow, aaaaand, a political revolution where the people, instead of throwing a revolution(always a last resort, btw) will slowly convert to a new political party, that new party gets elected, certain reforms are met, and boom, new government.

Now, even though there are 8 governments, they are divided into 4 sections, a flag representing each one, except the default one(not sure what the default does, but it's needed so the coding does not mess up.)

The Republic flag covers the democracy, I think presidential dictatorship, and the bourgieous dictatorship(government where one dictator forces everyone to have equal rights, sometimes in the economy too. Those who oppose are considered, "enemy of equality and liberty" and are usually killed or executed. Examples: Napoleon Bonaparte, Robbespierre(this guy used the idea as an excuse though) and some Vietnamese presidents.)


The Fascist flag covers the fascist dictatorship, and I think presidential dictatorship.

The communist flag covers the proletarian dictatorship.

The monarchy flags covers the HM's Government(Constitutional Monarchy), Absolute Monarchy, and the Prussian Constitutionalism(it's essentially a Federation/Confederation that puts more emphasis on the 2 parties, liberal and conservative. Examples were Prussia, Austria, and the USA is a good example, but throw in some democratic ideas.)

So, in total, if you want to make your flags, have the default flag, then edit the default flag to make the communist, republic, monarchy, and fascist flag.
