I'm sure you've heard about a haunted house, but what makes them so 'haunted?' Hauntings can happen to everyone. Here are 10 signs if your house is haunted.

10. Strange Smells

One usual sign is if you smell un-ordinary scents. The spirit may carry the smell with them if they were used to it when they were alive.

9. Strange Dreams.

When a spirit enters your house and decides to inhabit it, you may begin to have strange dreams (or even nightmares) about people or places you've never seen.

8. The Feeling of Being Watched

Some are more sensitive to the spirit world than others, and they may feel the spirit watching them. Although you shouldn't rely on this feeling alone to decide if your house is haunted, it can be a sign.

7. Heaviness in the Air

Some people can feel when the ghost is present. Sudden changes in the air can be triggered by a spirit entering the house. Usually after a cleansing, people report the air to have gotten noticeably lighter since then.

6. Noises

Have you ever heard noises, or whispers that can't be explained? It could be a spirit trying to be acknowledged. Most noises made by spirits can only be heard with special equipment, but noisy ghosts (Poltergiests) make very noisy sounds by throwing objects around.

5. Changes In Air Temperature

Sudden changes in temperature is a good sign if a spirit is around. If you travel through the house and notice some rooms are much colder than others, it might be because spirits make the air a lot colder when around. Just because it gets cold doesn't mean you're seeing the figure, though. It just means something might be near.

4. Things moving around.

Some spirits like to move things around, sometimes when you're not there. You should take note when these things happen. They may be trying to make their presence known by the home owner by playing tricks. If these things happen, you shouldn't ignore it, and it should be taken seriously.

3. Being Touched

Some report to feel as though being touched when no-one's there. This may be a sign a spirit wishes to have it's presence known by the owner of the house. You shouldn't jump to conclusions if it feels like brushing against something, though. However if marks are left, even cuts and bruises you can't explain, it may be a sign an evil spirit.

2. Changes In Mood or Behavior

Have you ever been super happy the whole day, but then suddenly mad? It's rare, but it may be a more sinister spirit is inhabiting your home.

1. Seeing is Believing.

The absolute best way to know if there is a spirit inhabiting your home is seeing yourself. Spirits can manifest before your very eyes, and if you have a sharp eye, you may be able to catch a glimpse.

That's a great video, Creep! A sufficient sacrifice would have been a rotisserie meat, as alcoholics love rotisserie, but alcoholic ghosts often prefer (and this may seem odd) turkey. And you have to get it at the cheapest place possible, so it's not easy to find. There are some gas stations in select areas in the Nevada desert that only sell rotisserie turkey, however. If you eat them, it is guaranteed to give you food poisoning. 2spooky, right?
