Um... This is rather awkward...
Because of uncertainty, I will just say that I'm not so sure things are going to work out between Ethan and I.
I'll leave it at that until I find my for sure answer...but right now...no.

You know, its one thing that people I know who are younger than me are getting married and having kids, but now my own cousin who is 3 years younger than me has a promise ring?!
WHY!? Why am I the only one NOT making any progress in a relationship!? She's not supposed to get married before me just not right! :'(

Well its official.
Ethan came over earlier and we both agreed that our relationship wasn't right... though he really wanted to make things work and I just didn't feel like trying anymore.
He said that when he was with me he wanted to be with me and when he wasn't he had doubts, and I was the opposite, I wanted him when he wasn't there and when he was I didn't feel right about it...
In all honesty, if he hadn't acted the way he did when we were alone, I think we would have been just fine for a while longer, but we probably would have ended up breaking up eventually...
I'm just glad he's not upset with me...that's not to say that he isn't upset at all though. He's mostly upset with himself because I told him that because of his behavior it lead me to feel like we weren't compatible and he kind of got on my nerves because of his behavior... so he's upset with himself but not with me, because he realizes that it was his fault for acting that way.
Anyway...I feel like I learned a few things from this relationship, so its not like it was a waste of time or anything. I realize I need to get my schooling done as soon as I possibly can and I need to learn how to take care of myself better so that I can take care of a family in the (near) future. Most importantly... I learned that I still want Alan in my life right now... Even if its just as friends, because when I was with Ethan this week I found myself thinking, "Alan never acted like this...I miss Alan..." and so I have been texting him a little bit this morning, and it sounds like he's missed me too. Maybe I'm making a mistake by going back to him, but I only had doubts about him because of my family not liking him, never on my own accord.
I always seem to end up circling back to Alan...

Yes, I'm back to Alan, but this time is different... This time I'm not going to focus on getting a ring out of him or anything. This time I'm just going to enjoy having my best friend around and if things happen to go in that direction then great, but for right now just having my true best friend back is good enough for me...
We both learned a few things from being split up the past month or so...
And he even apologized for the way he treated me in the first place!
Still not so sure how to feel about today, but I'm really hoping things get better...
They have to get better...right?
