Sylvie's Seasonal things
Re: Sylvie's Seasonal things
I'm going to have to reduce this to once a week - I've got to keep my ideas running, I don't have enough for one a day I'm afraid.

~~Unique christmas wear~~
Want to look original, but not crazy?
Sick of normal school uniform?
Well, 9 tips to looking good.
1. Brogues - yes, I said brogues - can look gorgeous if you GET THE RIGHT STYLE. And you should be able to get away with them at school. Get a non-shiny, nice leather pair, in black with no heel and you'll not only have a comfy pair of shoes they'll also look great.

Those are great ones - and they look much better on. Alot of celebrities are wearing them currently.
2. Alpine style - I'm talking christmas sweaters! Chunky knits, warm shirts...they can all look really great if worn right.

Mix knits with soft florals, or just get a lovely warm scarf and glove set
3. Dr.Martens...just turned 50, they are amazing shoes which never grow old. I actually have this sexy little pair:

And they look great with practically everything. They aren't just for goths anymore...save up for them, they're well worth it.
5. Party dresses - wear what you feel comfortable in, though this is christmas so sparkles are certainly allowed. If you're really stuck, a little LBD always works...but below the thigh please. We aren't from Essex. I have this dress for all my parties this year:

I wear it with minimum jewellery, and some plain heels. I also have a black floaty dress for when I know I'll be too drunk for a short dress.
6. Shoes - It's the season for high heels - boots, anything. Try to avoid wedges on anything other than boots, and don't wear heels you can't walk in. EVER.
7. Statement hats - they are very on trend, and you can hardly go wrong with them.

My very quirky hat there...It's terribly comfy.
8. Black trousers - another major trend - they elongate your legs, and slim down hips. Get a good quality pair that fit, and you'll find you wear them alot.
9. Patterned tights - it is cold, you should wear tights with dresses...and patterned tights are great for small legs (wear small patterns). If you have fuller legs, choose larger, vertical patterns to make them look longer.
