I like both and would do both, however I would always watch the film before I read the book. If I read the book than watch the film I'm always dissapointed.

I would read the book first. Kids these days need to READ bookes to get the imagination so, they can get creative. Imagnation is one thing children are missing and a film doesn't let you imagine stuff. Reading the book then watching the film is better.

I'm not really sure. Books would be better, since they have more detail, easier to understand, and just more content, which means more adventure! O:<
But, the movie practically brings the book to life, and it's just plain interesting to know how the author really depicted and imagined her characters to be.
Though, most of the time, the book is better than the movie, since it's hard to find actors that specifically fit the description of the characters.
