Movies with the best sound tracks

Postby Dr Frook » 08 Jan 2013, 09:38

Which movie do you think has the best sound track?

I personally love the old 80s movie, St Elmos Fire. Awesome soundtrack.

Lord of the Rings
Star Wars/Indiana Jones
(Hans Zimmer is great, but don't forget John Williams)
Hans Zimmer (and that's more than just that...that's an endless list)

As much as I like Zimmer I am fairly disappointed that he re-uses his music. There are similiar pieces in the Pirates and Gladiator scores.

Despite this one of my favorite scores HAS to be his work on The Last Samurai.

And I have to say the Dark Knight has a VERY good soundtrack, it literally MADE that movie as pretty much everything else barring Ledger, Freeman, Caine and Gyllenhaal's performances were atrocious.

Any movie that has its soundtrack made by John Williams, ET, Jaws, Jurassic Park, Star Wars and the first Harry Potter film to name some, John Williams is a Musical Inspiration to all. He truly has won alot of hearts with his music
