Freedom will come. There will be no Knight in Shining Armour from Washington. YOU are YOUR OWN knight in shining armour.
Silence will only come when the Internet is shut down. Once the Internet is shut down by the Government, it is time for the Government to be shut down by the Internet. It happened in Egypt - It will happen here.
I have no idea what to say to those who believe that the U.S government will shut down the internet.
For trying.

I better start quaking in my boots that another country's government will shut down one of my country's form of communication.
It seems so likely to happen I've started restocking my fallout shelter incase Obama turns into a dragon and starts firing Lucky Charms through your computer screen.

Its a localized shutdown of the Internet in the USA - Not a Global shutdown.

Mmm, are you saying that the US would never take the internet offline? If Egypt can then the US could at any time to make a point.

That's a super expensive point that compromises national security and our economy. No one is dumb enough to do that.

Like America's overdependance on other countries for almost every good we sell doesnt compromise our economy.

there is no way in hell that the US could take the internet offline. Not only would it screw the US itself, but the government would cease to operate if it happened. The US is not run by a dictatorship/emperor/despot etc. Regardless of what you think of the government, they are held accountable for their actions every day. They may do some underhanded things, but something major like this is never going to happen in our lifetimes. Egypt is a third world country that is and has been extremely unstable for decades. There is no comparison at all.

The U.S. Government has the ability to take it offline. After OAF takes off, they'll be left with no choice. They cant trace 98% of the participants, so they'll make people take to the streets where they can TRY to apprehend people. They ALSO have the ability to take it offline for certain users like... lets say... everyone but people working for the government. Therefore they arent screwed, and they "silence" the People. Until we take to the streets and give them hell
