So I just got back from the best play I have ever been to.
I went as an assignment for my interpreting class; I had to observe an interpreter, which actually I'm kinda ticked because the lighting was horrible. The place we were at wasn't even bothering to accommodate the interpreter or the deaf people in the audience... anyway...
With this place they expect the audience to be involved and they kind of adlib sometimes and there was one part of the show where they were making cheese jokes and one actor said "what do you call cheese that isn't yours" and I shouted "NACHO CHEESE!" and everyone started laughing and the actor was like "Na- Hey! That's the best part of the joke!" which made it even funnier.
Then there was another time when another one of the actors was threatening the audience about something and I shouted "Bring it!" and he gave kind of a startled look to the audience then went back to his own thing, muttering.
But the best part was when they were reading names of people who had or were going to have a b-day this month. They read my name and I thought "hey, someone has the same name as me" and then I was like "oh crap wait, no that IS me" so I stood up and the actor was like "So, you're 21 eh? Do you feel like an adult?" and I said "Living with these two? (referring to my parents) NAH!" and he said "well, I'm sure you'll find a guy to move out with soon" so I was like "Yeah!" and did a double fist into the air and he said, laughing, "And she's excited about it!" then he got a little serious and said "do you have plans after the show?" And I just lost it laughing! I should have said "I don't know, you tell me!"
"Halo, and goodbye!"
