I'm currently using a toshiba satellite laptop that's probably around 4 years old and it's falling apart in various ways. I want a new laptop PC that, while it doesn't have to be a gaming beast, can render large worlds in terraria with ease (as a specific example).

What laptop do you use/could recommend?

I guess 500, I've been out of the market so long I can't really say.

Uh, no.

I got my Envy|TouchSmart for $600 and then spent another $300 on downloads I needed for schooling.

I have cheap Dell $200-ish and it runs things quite well for what it is. The opposite of a beast, but I can play Terraria with ease.

I break laptops quite often like every 6 months. Tearing the screen off, pouring water on them , cracking the screens
Dell and hp laptops are really long lasting
But I prefer Sony cause its faster
The Sony flips are pretty cool but there were quite a few bugs when I used it
