So my parents love interior desgining and architecture. So they have copies of Southern Accents And Country Living dating back to 1985s so I was skimming through and I found out a lot of stuff...
1. Southern Accents is extremely gaudy
2. black, Mexicans, etc. were found no where on any of the magzines :x
3. You can put cheese on grits
4. They loved cigarettes
5. Familys froms the 90s looked like idiots
6. Ads back then are way way better then what you find now

The Mortal Instruments was a really good series, I never got around to reading the last book though so I have to get a copy some times. But I read the first 4 books and they were really good. Read them in 4 days 1 day for each book while I was in the hospital one time.
Really great books. I've heard that the Infernal Devices were another good series based in the same universe. Just in an earlier time period than the Mortal Instruments.

The last book is diffidently the best out of the lot, you should read it when you get time
