I always thought this song was about smoking marijuana. You pass the doochy (joint, pipe, spliff) on the left hand side, so the person receiving could take it with their dominant right hand. Remember kids, puff puff pass. Don't bogart, don't hold the doochy and run your mouth, and don't screw up the rotation. Pass the doochy to the left hand side.
