I missed the opening ceremony... might watch a repeat of it

Its alright. Not exactly a giant voldemort in a fight with NHS nurses but i guess it does the job.

Not really, if a giant mutated goldfish comes out of the water and eats a swimmer I might flip it on.

and to make things worse, our athletes were dressed like out medicare cards

I didn't actually realise that there was a time difference until they said that some events are starting at 2 am

But yeah, I was pretty bored the whole time. And it kind of seemed like a cop-out that they just basically used a projection for 90% of it. Commentators kept going on about "this only cost 1/10th of the London 2012 opening ceremony" and I was just thinking "yeah, because they're just playing a video".

Its disappointed on my end. A lot of the women winning awards are either downplayed or credit is given to a guy. its made a lot of news and really sucks.
