Some good ways to stay protected

Postby Roi-antimalwaregeek » 31 Oct 2009, 02:50

Hello

This is roi the :ugeek:

As I say, It is good to be protected.
There are some techniques which one can follow to stay protected.
This techniques are just basic ones.

Here they are:

1. Go to websites through some good search engines such as google, yahoo, bing, ask.com etc.
2.Don't click on advertisements if you are not sure about their content.
3.Always prefer to have a antivirus in the PC
4.Always update your antivirus daily and scan in safe mode periodically.
5.If your OS is Windows then always stay updated with Microsoft Security patches.
6.If you want to download anything, better to download from the main company website or theough safe mirror websites.
7.Before opening any new file, scan it with your antimalware
8.Always back up your important files.
9.Carry out a safe, selective browsing.
10.Please defragment your hard disks periodically to improve the systme's performance.
11.Have a system checkpoint created every week.
12.It's good to have a system rescue disk with you.

Roi, could you add this to the list: Never have more than 2 or more anti-virus software on your computer.
Add that ccause having more than two messes up your system.. totally  :D
When god said let there be insanity..
