If you were stranded in the desert, what would you do? Keep in mind that the only items you savaged is a bottle, a knife, and just a little bit of food (10 pounds). Tell me a short story of what you would do in this situation.

firstly I would not 'savage' the poor bottle, knife and food. what did they ever do to you?!

I'd build a huge sandcastle and become king of the island and have lots of sand slave women looking after my every need.

All I have to do to survive is wait till night and when all the stars are up in the sky I would look at the North star or Polaris and walk towards it if i go north. If i go south I could go in the path of Scorpius. I can find the path at night that way and in the day time I can look at side where the sun rises and sets and follow the direction i want. When the food finishes I can slice some pieces of cactus and put it on top of a hot stone to slightly cook it aand when the water finishes, I would still have the juicy cactus. And however i would find a oasis if not i might hve already reached my destination!!

1. Sandstorms-.-
2. Let's say... 100 km to ANY kind of civilization.
3. No oasis or cactus nearby...
4. Illusions.
5. Deadly heat.
Just saying...

I'd dig a large hole until I get to water. If I'm not dead by then, I'll drink my fill and fill up my bottle. Then I'd start running in the direction of the sun, whether it's east or west. Eventually I'll find some ghost town, and stagger in, whispering for water. But it'll be too late. I'll fall down on the floor, dead.
