Which is better? Modern Warfare 3 or Battlefield 3?

i say bf3 because they are essentially the same game
but Cod is just Battlefield for those who dont have the brain capacity to strategise and work as a team, and Battlefield is WAAAAAAAAY more realistic in the way wars are fought and how the terrain can be destroied

i am also guessing that most of the people voting for MW3 have never played battlefield 1-2 or bfbc1-2
because all the media is about how good cod is, when battlefield is clearly superior in graphics, gameplay, and technology

Now that my brother owns MW3 and I've played it some, I can make some accurate commentary.

Call of Duty always nets an enormous profit; why would they change anything in this next installment? Modern Warfare 3 is Modern Warfare 2 with differently-named (they remain functionally the same) guns, different maps, and a few more game modes. They didn't risk changing anything drastically (didn't change diddly about the graphics ), which is fine for those who enjoyed MW2, but disappoints us who didn't. Modern Warfare 3 is a great expansion pack for MW2 because Infinity Ward didn't add anything at all innovative.

Battlefield 3, as j3r said, is superior in both the graphics and gameplay departments. There is no "host migration" or "connection interrupted," Dice created a new engine instead of recycling one from 2 years ago, and Battlefield 3 is actually enjoyable to play. Wide, various maps give me an average lifespan much over the 20 seconds I usually experience in COD. Vehicles add another dimension to the fighting (rock-paper-scissors style), and the suppression effect, actual teamplay and destructible environments add to the fun.

Battlefield 3, better graphics, better gameplay, not as easy to kill people,more fun, weapons aren't overpowered, vehicles (jets, tanks, heli's etc.)

Modern warfare 3 for me now sucks. I get smurfed easily and im more use too black ops menu to make classes.

this whole arguement is stupid because you are comparing an arcade shooter to a tactical shooter (although i have to say i am EXTREMELY disappointed by battlefield 3's performance as a tactical shooter, it feels too arcadey) and when you do that you basically say that there is no differentiation between the two. MW3 is just MW2 with some slightly better graphics, if any, new guns, different maps and some new game modes.

battlefield 3 lost some of the luster of badcompany two but still managed to be a different game with drastically im proved graphics, although there are sound gltches that occur often and the servers like to get buggy it's still a veyr worth while game to play.

in my opinion i just wouldnt play MW3 even though i'd probably be very good at it simply because i dont like the COD community and its general state of mind, nor do i enjoy the gameplay. its essentially just not my game. in reality i dont even favor shooters i actually prefer sports and racing games to anything else but all my friends play shooters so i play them too.

its all about what you're looking for in a game and its community, not about which games is better. its not like Gran turismo vs Forza.... that one gets UBER bloody

your opinion means what exactly? you provided absolutely no evidence on this. quite sad really because i would LOVE to see your arguments other than just "BF sucks. MW3 is WAY different than MW2." and so on. you just prove jer's point by saying that as its a dumb not very well thought out response. Back up claims with evidence. and fyi the current game engine that mw3 is running is barely a hair different than call of duty 4. so i would like you to explain how its not the same. same kids playing it, same annoying lack of teamwork, same annoying arcade style of shooter. all in all makes for a crappy anuallized game that will eventually lose its following due to poor quality, or ruin the quality of other games as more and more people settle for less.

I don't have to make a crappy statement.I'm saying it's better,for mostly the graphics have been tweaked a little,the game-play is following up to the main story-line,Long shots are even harder,& they've added a mode of zombies,which I find just plain awesome.Anyways,more people voted for MW3,so it proves that it's better.
