Viruses are the most peculiar of things out there in my opinion.
Going to the very heart of things, I consider them living organisms as, well, they DO reproduce, since all they need to do is find a host.
And as far as correction goes, you get antibiotic to treat yourself from bacteria-infused diseases, since the antibiotics only work on them for reasons I won't get into explaining too much, it's got to do with multiplication of cells etc.
Anyways, you can't treat a virus infection with an antibiotic, you treat that with an antivirus. Obviously not the computer type.

You can only prevent them with Vaccinations, I really doubt an antivirus drug has been created.
I've lost my pieces.

Unfortunately, not all viruses can be vaccinated against. And there are several anti-viral drugs out there which inhibit viral development. Unless you're talking about the existence of manufactured virus' that compete with natural ones, in which case I haven't heard of them being used in a medical setting.

Re: Are Viruses Living Things?
viruses are first dead and then alive... after borrowing genetic material from the host. Simple.
