the people made a huge mistake allowing religious parties to even be allowed to participate in the elections. Look where it got them. Now to undo this damage is going to probably take a civil war and lots of suffering.

glad to say civil war is looking less and less likely. A strong military is essential in Egypt...

update: the military rulers of egypt are doing the right thing, stopping protests and crushing opposition, everything that is required to have a stable country in the middle east.
