And it's not like she didn't have an education before, she did. Hell, she was learning about stuff I haven't even learnt of before. People there do get an education and the Taliban aren't even in power anymore.
I don't think, while her actions cannot go unmerited, that she should get so much privilege.
1st. Malala is a leader representing her people, putting a lot of effort fighting for her cause. When a leader is killed, or attempt assassination or imprisoned, they get a lot of fame and recognition in the world. Deal with it. Nelson Mandela gained fortune through imprisonment, why don't you get pissy at that.
2nd. She thinks everyone in Pakistan deserves an education, and she's thankful she had that opportunity. That is one of the main things she is fighting for. Also, the Taliban are still loosely organized and still have their leaders and do have a significant power in certain areas in Afghanistan and Pakistan. They're like mobs or gangs, you mess with them you get shot while they have no significant federal power in the area.
Yeah I'm pretty sure if my country also had no education and I were to somehow gain fame abroad, the first thing I'd ask in order to help my people is... Yeah you guessed it, getting education for myself in some flashy school thing.
Oh yeah. Not by my own skills. I'm just using the taxpayers' money.
Im probably not even as good as half the country I'm now at, since I didn't receive proper education in my country.
But hey, the worlds not equal so HA British students.
Hey, why isn't the world fair to my country though? Oh well, guess I'll protest about that.
