I'm not claiming the UK uses the Euro. My sources for the European countries was by Eurostat, so they have all their currencies in the Euro.

It's more of important things and life quality and able to sustain a good house and not starve to death are being over priced. Their price just keeps going up and up and up like food so you need to increase the pay in a fixed ratio. Economies have been doing that ever since civilization became very complex until now when America and a couple other countries were like nu uh no moar i h8 poor ppl and middl cls ppl

Generally speaking the price of food goes up with inflation, so too does the wages. Therefore it balances each other out. However, recently some food has been going up above inflation... It is a lot more complex than just minimum wage. Raising it, is not the right thing to do in my opinion...

You try telling big corporations to lower their prices so others can live a better life. They'll laugh in your face.

What we need to do is fix the economy. A good economy has low inflation, but because the world is still struggling from the economic fall of 2008(thanks to American and European corporations) the only country to recover is well, Iceland. And some of the Nordic countries too.

Raising the minimum wage will help rebuild the economy and get it running again. It's not like people are fighting to raise the minimum wage at a ridiculous rate, they just want it raised so their fellow countrymen can stop starving to death.

The UK Economy is bouncing back better than any other economy in Europe, shockingly growing more than Germany although Germany still has a stronger economy. The reason why Nordic Countries dodge most of the Crisis is because most of hem try to be as self sufficient as possibly, and only have a few treaties to abide by.
As many unskilled jobs are they do not generate the money to pay high wages, that's why the wages are low. £6.50 an hour is a good amount in my opinion. Taking more money away from Companies and corporation is not a good idea at the moment...

Oh, excuse me, but you guys are aware that its not that people can't cope with what they have, more like they can't cope with what they want.
They have enough money to live a good life. No one asked you to buy the latest 40k TV or a Mercedes, or ps4.
Its just that peoples standards are extremely high for their wages.
If your job can't pay much then don't expect much.
That was for middle class.
Now for even poorer classes and people without a job I've made my point clear tons of times.

You do realize when they do these reports and studies in research, they take in account the costs to live, right? To have running water, electricity, a home, and to eat roughly 3 meals a day and to shower once or twice a day or two. They don't take in account pleasures, or buying electronic devices (except TV).

And to pay for all these things, you'd need to be paid 10.20$ an hour to support these things in the cheapest county in America, which is Hanson County in South Dakota.

Now, the reason why people get mad, especially in America, and why you think their standards of living is so high is that after WWII America was the #1 economic powerhouse and their people lived pretty great lives and the social, cultural, and economic standards of living raised significantly. Almost everyone lead successful lives and the poor got richer over the times. Until, obviously, the 1960's when the United States Government stopped increasing minimum wage and took away regulations that secured raising the wages every year and securing jobs and expanding the economy because the corporations manipulated the government into taking these regulations away so they can get richer while the poor get poorer.

Ever since the 1960's, the US has not raised the minimum wage. So over time, their poverty rates increased and the middle class' growth of income and economic prosperity was stalled in growing until 2010. The most powerful middle class in the world is now going down in wealth and is now shrinking because we are joining the poor class.

So in these times of economic decline we look back to when the middle class thrived and that demands a Government that protects our sought out rights of economic opportunity, right to live a good life, and right to get a good job because we did well as a nation under those times. So now we're fighting to get that back and get the economy that once thrived under the powerful middle class back into full gear like it was, 85 years ago. People didn't have a problem then because they saw the growth was damaged, but still going up. Until all of the deregulation and continuous corporate abuse on the working class lead to our economic recession in 2008 and the inevitable dying middle class since 2014.
