hey just so you know the FBI are conducting an investigation of the grand jury that didn't indict wilson. that means there’s a huge chance there’ll be a retrial. they’re also investigating the general racism of the police force.

Rioting in America



VIOLENT protests took place in America this week when a policeman was cleared after shooting dead a teenager.


Back in August, police officer Darren Wilson shot dead a black teenager called Michael Brown. The incident caused widespread riots across the Missouri town of Ferguson, hitting headlines across the world.

On Monday 24 November, a US grand jury announced that Mr Wilson would not be charged with the murder of the teenager.

This news has upset people in the local community, many of whom believe that black Americans are treated unfairly by the police.

Protests erupted, with shops being looted and cars set on fire.

President Obama and Michael Brown's family have called for peaceful protests.

As First News went to press, the riots in Ferguson were still ongoing but peaceful protests were taking place across numerous American cities, including New York, Washington, and Los Angeles.
