IS burns captured Jordanian pilot alive

Postby Dr Frook » 03 Feb 2015, 21:45

Yep, I knew he had a special kind of end coming his way when they captured him. They slaughter innocent people so easily, you have to expect special treatment for someone who bombs them.

The Islamic State militant group has released a video purportedly showing a captured Jordanian pilot being burned alive, and Jordan has vowed an "earth-shattering" response to avenge his death.

The 22-minute video released online appeared to show Maaz al-Kassasbeh, who was captured when his plane crashed in Syria in December, engulfed in flames inside a metal cage.

Jordanian state television confirmed the death and said First Lieutenant Kassasbeh had been killed on January 3, before the jihadists offered to spare his life and free a Japanese journalist in return for the release of a female Iraqi would-be suicide bomber held in Jordan.

All this pain and suffering could have been avoided ... I think ... if the west never messed things up in the middle east... starting with the removal of Saddam Hussein...

now we're stuck with a group about a billion times more evil... such a great situation.

I really hope the Jordanian air force bomb the absolute crap out of everything. And I'm usually the one explaining why you can't do that.

Hell, I'll volunteer to the Jordanian air force if I get to do it myself.

I'd volunteer to hop on a nuke and ride it all the way to Iraq at the rate it's going, they're less than humans.

IS does calculated moves... I don't think they are complete idiots, trying to turn the world against them... if they did this, they knew it would result in some serious response from Jordon... they want to draw Jordon further into the war... worries me...

They certainly are not idiots. They know what they're doing.. Which is the scary part of it. They just came out of nowhere, really. Just in the past year or so have we been hearing of this group and they've elevated themselves from a group to an organization that's funded by millions of dollars. They have smart people supporting them. The United States killed a Chemical Weapons Expert a couple of weeks ago that was in their ranks. It's great that we killed this person before they could take advantage of his talents, but what's scary is that they had this person to use to their advantage.

My thoughts at this point are that they are trying to break up the Coalition that was helped brought together by the United States. This includes Jordan, Syria, and many other countries in the middle east. Whether or not it succeeds, they're trying to instill fear in the coalition so that they just back off somewhat, thus leaving a heavier weight on that of the United States. They're baiting us at this point to get involved and open ourselves up for casualties... Again, this is just what I think. Whether you agree or not is totally up to you, but I think it makes some sense.
LET'S GO HATTERS!!!
