actually felt quite sad to hear she died. She was one tough woman and will certainly be remembered.

I can't believe I didn't hear about this sooner. She kept the Falklands and essentially brought down the Argentinian Dictatorship. Without her people could still be disappearing or being murdered/tortured there, by their own leaders.

Now, I bet Aaron Ramsey scores on Friday.

I can't say I was sad to see her go, but I'm not going to celebrate an old lady's death.

Although she did do some very good things in the Falklands and issues surrounding that, the damage she did to the UK is undeniable.

'The Witch is Dead' is heading into the music charts - that's a sign and a half...

If you look at some of the places that were in the middle of her regime, they have never recovered - whole families are still affected by the wrongdoing.

No different from the rest of the conservatives though - too high on their throne to realise what is going on to the working class.

I agree with you.

I love Margaret Thatcher, because of her defiance and openness to her opinions. She didn't let her own political party tell her what to do, she was going to do what she felt was right. And how she was willing to negotiate with USSR when they got a new leader simply because they "could do business" as she said is something I admire. She took the chance to work with an "enemy" when they had a leader she liked and she could talk to.

She inspires me in my somewhat similar defiance of people and readiness to speak my mind.

But, she did do a lot of bad too, which I don't like, and most of her policies, I didn't agree with and didn't like.

How can you agree with me and then say you love her?

I loved her personality and how she expressed herself. I agreed with what you said. When I said I loved her, it wasn't meant to be a general statement about her, it was just a specific thing she did, which your confusion is my bad since I didn't make that part more clear. My apologizes.

Another one bites the dust.
As I don't see many differences between her and mr. H, i don't think I'll ever be saddened by her death.
Can't really celebrate but then again, it was about time.

I really never knew so many people hated her. It seems all the rage is coming out now that she has died. Quite sad actually. I remember the anger in Britain in the 80s over her polices and Poll tax, but I also remember she brought the UK back from the brink of economic chaos of the 70s. The UK needed her at a tough time and she did what was required.... and that made her many enemies.

A lot of people didn't like her during her time of living, both in her elections, and after. But, no one's continued expressing it because the topic was never brought back. Now it is, and the people who hated her, are now expressing their opinions.

She did alot of good! And did some bad. As it stands the country is basically divided, meerly in half, some hate, some love.
But she was the first female PM.
She helped end the Cold War.
And people forget, she kept wining elections. She only went out of Govt. when her own party -not the people- turned against her. So she must have had some popularity.
I respect her, but she did do some stupid things I have to admit...
