your thoughts?

Egypt's armed forces have overthrown elected president Mohammed Morsi and announced a political transition with the support of a wide range of political, religious and youth leaders.

Armed forces chief General Abdel Fattah Al Sisi announced the suspension of the constitution and said the president of the supreme constitutional court would act as interim head of state until elections are held.

In a video statement, Mr Morsi said he rejected the measures that amounted to "a full military coup".

IT'S NOT A TAKE OVER. MORSI WASN'T A GOOD PRESIDENT AND WE HAD ENOUGH OF HIM. WE NOW HAVE A TEMPRARARLY PRESIDENT. SO THE MILITARY DIDN'T "take over" !!!

Funny you should say that as the Western World is saying that the President has been put under house arrest and that military officals will be running the country untill a new elected Govt. can take over.

So technically the military did take over. And if he was such a bad President; why does he have so many supporters...?

THOSE SUPPORTERS SUPPORT HIM BECAUSE HE IS FROM THE MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD. PLUS THEY ARE LIVING A LIE !!! WE HAVE MANY PROBLEMS AND THEY SAY IT'S JUST HALUCINATIONS AND IT'S OUR IMAGINATION. YES HE WAS ARRESTED BUT IT'S NOT A TAKE OVER !!!!!

To be fair he was elected democratically, so he should finish his time in power. And I don't understand how the military didn't take-over, if they are mainly in charge.

I don't support the Muslim Brotherhood in any-way. But they have a right to express their views and have a chance to lead. But I also think, that removing them from power was the also kind of the right thing to do.

Yes I just contridicted myself. This is a very complex issue.

He may have been elected democratically, but he wasn't assuming powers of a President. He abandoned his democratic jobs, such as representing the people and making economic reforms, and moved to using Dictatorship jobs, such as jailing opposition political parties and opressing his people.

That is not what a President does.
