Now if you believe that everyone that doesn't like em MUST be a homophobe then that's quite the definition of racism isn't it?
For example I don't have a problem with homosexuals but that definitely doesn't mean I approve.
I don't try to force my opinion on anyone and definitely don't parade over it.
Imagine what would happen if there was an antigay parade.

I knew that already. I have friends who are okay with people being homosexual or other sexualities that don't support them, but are okay with their existence. This is mainly targeted at people who are cruel to nonheterosexual people. Yes it's okay to not like them but just don't be an asshole about it.
that was dramatic. still ready 2 die tho!

Being an ass about any subject, be it politically correct or not, loses you the argument every time.

Burger King started a campaign in San Francisco to help show people that even if they're different on the outside, they're still the same on the inside.
Your thoughts?
Personally, I think it's a really great way to help people start accepting others.

You know, I may not agree with homosexuality, but the concept and the point of the whole "proud whopper" deal is cool in a way.
Though if you think about it, gays/lesbians/bi whatever, are still the same on the outside, they just feel different and act differently on the inside. If that makes sense...
If it doesn't make sense you'll probably get all defensive and hate on my point of view but *shrug* thats how I see it.

Yes but it's showing them that we're all human, no matter what we do or what sexuality we have. They don't have to change their mind about them, and if they do, that's hella cool, yo. It's just a campaign to get people to try and accept homosexuality, Burger King isn't saying that you have to support it. They just want people to see that no matter what decisions someone makes, they're still humans and you should still treat them like one. The Proud Whopper is still the same as a regular Whopper and you should eat it just the same.

I don't think it's so much that people think that individuals that are homosexual or bisexual or transsexual are not human, they may just think it's wrong, or they just don't agree with their choice. What does it even matter if some people don't accept homosexuality? It's your life, not theirs. If some people think homosexuality is wrong, that's their opinion. If some people think it's a great thing, then it's their opinion too-everyone is allowed an opinion. The problem here is people shoving their beliefs down each others throats and that is not only completely frustrating but also hugely alienating.

at the same time, your orientation isn't necessarily a choice.

the only case is where you may choose to publically identify as one sexuality for other reasons such as homophobia/religion/ease but you would not really be that sexual orientation

It's pretty ballsy for a multinational corporation like BK to try this; first I've heard of anything like it. Hopefully others will follow their lead.
