Either way, its still not cool... Only people who should be monitored are ones who pose a threat to a nation or have serious criminal records.

Only thinking about it in Britain, otherwise as a Scot I want no part in it

Scotland's in Britain.

Oh I never realised all these fourteen years that I lived in this soggy, wet ,hill-covered place that most of what goes on in it is decided many miles south in London

Not that many miles south, cmon. And we do it well.

But that's a whole other debate.

didnt scotland vote AGAINST their independence?
you know, if you dont like being ruled, bother to stand up against it.
scotland is part of Britain for all i care.

also, you people are paranoid.
even if its JUST britain, do you honestly believe cameron has that many people to legit monitor EVERY MESSAGE YOU SEND?
its probably just key-words eg "bomb", "Jihad" etc
i doubt anyone will bother to read what personal problems a teenager is going through.
unless he plans to blow up a school for that reason.

The people monitoring them are going to see so many sexti- um, I mean, private texts. Let's just say private texts. In all seriousness though, peeking into what goes on in online messaging is like asking to find that kind of stuff. Seriously.

Yeah, but they're not going to do anything with them, and *hopefully* they'd never meet the person irl.

but tyc what word can you misspell to typo Jihad or bomb

I mean it's not like you mean to type "tomb" and be like "i want to be buried in a bomb"

i meant the opposite, where the terrorists would misspell the words to avoid being caught
