While I do enjoy the philisophical answer every once in awhile I must point out that this is a question that most likely will never be answered. If multiple generations have been trying to answer this question then what will a few people talking on a forum add to the answer? The truth would be nothing, exeption would be the slight amount of self satisfaction you may get from thinking you are brilliant.

Why not ask yourself what you can do while your here and alive? Personally I've better things to accomplish in my life and make a reason why I should deserve to be here then look for some great answer.

I believe we are here because God put us here so that he would have someone to love.. although sadly, lots of the people he created to love don't love him, even though he sacrificed his own son so that we would be able to have eternal life after we die. While we are here, I believe we are here to spread the word of God's wonderful love, although many people don't have the ears to hear it, they would rather turn away and say it's not true, but God's love for you is amazing and strong, he will help you through the hard times and celebrate with you in the good times. He opens doors for us but sometimes we try to force our way through another door that isn't open. He loves us as his children, but some of us don't want to believe he is our Father. We want to run away from him, but no matter where we are, he finds us, and tries to show us the way. The Devil just tries to turn u against God, then you'll burn in the fires of hell when life is done. So there you have it.
