I abosolutely love the smell of paper, especially in books, new and old! One thing, the digital books: YOU. DON'T. TURN. THE. PAGE. The whole novelty of the book is feleing the orughness of the paper on your skin, and seeing the words without the book's battery dying! That's a thing, too: With proper care and love, a book never loses its battery! All people who read digital books are just too stupid to appreciate REAL books!

Thank you,
Fuipui

I agree wholeheartedly Fui! GO BOOKS, NOT FOOKS! (fooks=fake books)

I'm reminded that I should be getting over it.

Amen. I would rather have the feel of a new book in my hands, smelling that new book smell, trying to especially careful not to scratch the nice cover or create creases.. ahh yes.. I miss reading.. I need to go to the library soon.

Most libraries use pc's by now so...
Well, on the best book starting, the one woof wrote about, mine is:
"Rorscachs journal. October 12th 1985: dog carcass in alley this morning, tire tread on burst stomach. This city is afraid of me. I've seen it's true face.the streets are extended gutters and gutters are full of blood and when the drains finally scab over, all the vermin will drown."
It has more, but then it gets censored-.-

it is a curse...
if there was a zombie invasion. You cannot get information within the 48hours.
the information includes:
how to sleep better with zombies inside your head.
how to eat without your loved ones and depression
etc...

technology can be taken down when people do not take care of them. So digital tech books are a curse #1 random debate facts.

#2 - serious debate fact.
USA becoming more obese, by not exercising such as going to the bookstore.
#3- people are getting dumber by not searching up facts... digital books can be like wiki
#4- people are not getting enough education... do you know how long it is to scan 1000 pages of classical stories (gone with the wind, etc) per day?
#5 - people are going back into a stoneage... where Hackers ruled the internet or so...
#6 - more facts will be presented by people being lazy.

Think about it this way... How many people read...
... I could rumble on about 10000 facts... but I will leave my strongest facts why digital books is a curse.

I think it's blessing ..it's cheaper , don't take a space and u can carry a hundreds of them with u where ever u go !
But although all these advantages I still prefer real books .. digital books cause me headache

there is the advantage of saving paper from trees. But at the same time, there are energy requirements from digital books, to make them and then to run them.

you need both.
Books for the old feel of it.

but for very rare books (especially them) there should be an electronic copy.
That way the rare book can be stored away in a safe environment and everyone is still able to read it.

For preservation purposes really
