No offence Woofwoof but I can't start to fathom on how a omnipotent god would be, ( With infinite wisdom, etc...) Would only create us just because he was unloved. Love is not that powerful of a emotion. That would be the worlds greatest irony actually. If you think about it that means that God created us because he was a selfish person.

While we are on the subject of the Devil I personally believe the world needs balence. The Devil manages to tip the scales, ( IF he even exist's) So that humanity would be able to survive.

If you quickly picture this what if God was actually the most selfish thing in the universe? He would most likely try to guard his creations. In doing so, ( IF he loves us all equally) Would then try and keep us alive consistently. The Devil brings in the balence of death, ( Or Chaos?) Which allows the equation for humanity to live. Without death overpopulation, plaque, diesese would end up with a dead humanity.

The interesting question is...

Did god create us, or did we create god to explain how it comes we are here?

History and the many numbers of religions throughout the ages tend to take us to the second option. Mankind trying to explain something they couldn't explain and therefor creating a higher being to try and explain it.

science has proven this many times.
big bang and the fact that amino acids can be produced through average unedited earth like environments.

god is just a way to hold power over others
nothing more than a kingship in which you can not see this king
so more like an idea reinforced by the non taxed churches.

we are here because we were created from the evolution of cells into larger cells into aquatic creatures into amphibious then onto the rest.

we only live to learn which is what has been programed into our brains by our fore fathers.

nobody will ever know the full truth

I agree with that, but really think about it, when there was NOTHING, how'd the big bang happen and make everything? This place sure has an operator right?
Let's just say.. the universe is the god.
When god said let there be insanity..

I don’t believe in God. My god is patriotism. Teach a man to be a good citizen and you have solved the problem of life.

Oh and P.S., the whole thing is so patently infantile, so foreign to reality, that to anyone with a friendly attitude to humanity it is painful to think that the great majority of mortals will never be able to rise above this view of life

"Why are we here?"

Why not?
"Who is wise? He that learns from everyone. Who is powerful? He that governs his passions. Who is rich? He that is content. Who is that? Nobody."
- Benjamin Franklin
