The health care bill is the best reform ever.
The US was the ONLY western industrial country in the world without healthcare for all, a very basic thing.
And we shouldn't forget that insightful is correct.
Bill Clinton together with Alan Greenspan took the US out of deficit and actually had a nice savings on the account of the US.

Bush jr. then used the money saved by the democrats to invest in lower taxes for the rich (meaning less income for the US state) and war (more expenditure).
Leading to a record deficit in US history!
(BTW Bush sr did the same, he also put the US in a deficit by war (the first gulf war))

Apparently history and economics (and how things are abroad) isn't being taught in the US.
Otherwise a whole lot of US students here would actually keep supporting Obama or the democrats.

Have you ever HEARD of the problems people with Healthcare Reform have? First of all, they don't get to choose their doctors. Second of all, they pay tons for that crap! Third of all, once the elderly get 'too old to contribute to society' they kill 'em off. LITERALLY. They stop caring for them and just put 'em on pills till they slowly die. Sad right? I don't think I want my grandparents or even PARENTS for that matter killed off by the damn government. Btw, if you haven't noticed, since Obama's been in office, taxes have gone up, gas prices have gone up, and more and more people are losing their jobs. Oh, and another thing. Obama was in the Senate while Bush was president. Meaning he VOTED for many if not ALL of the bills that got our country the way it is. So he can't complain. He helped to make the country how it is now. He's gotta deal with his mistakes and fix things himself. And if you don't like the way our teachers are teaching, why don't you do something about it?

Sorry to sound so angry, but I am.

WOOF!!

I'm reminded that I should be getting over it.

Excuse me?
Most European countries have a public healthcare.
We are free to choose our own doctor.
Yes, we actually pay quite a bit of money for that, but that means that everyone contributes to have such an extensive healthcare for everyone.
But it also means that if you fall ill, you won't pay as much.
And the elderly are not writeoffs, they're treated with respect and get all the care they need.

Most of what you just said is propaganda.
It isn't as bad as those people think, go watch the healthcare system in any western EU country, you'll be amazed.

And if you haven't noticed, there's an economic crisis.
Taxes had to go up because of the historical record deficit Bush built up.
Public spending had to go up, because that's what you do as a government in an economic crisis, because once you have deflation, instead of a small inflation, people won't buy anything anymore and just sit back 'till prices hit rock bottom. (see Japan in the 90s)
Oil prices have gone up because that's how it works, demand from economically developing countries has gone up (brasil, russia, india, china). With more demand and less or same supply, prices go up.
And the jobmarkets follows the economic trend between about 3 and 6 months after the economic trend has occured.
So it'll be only this year that the jobmarket will grow again.

And I'm not liking the blatant ignorance regarding economics, politics and history.
