Bad Religions

Most of the time fashion movements like emo, goth, mosher, punk, gangstah, whatever, are adolescent ways of the middle classes defining themselves when they are of an age that they are trying to find out who they are (before they hopefully find out that is the wrong question to ask).

My opinion is go ahead, wear whatever you want, hell go to town with any kind of makeup, clothes or hairstyle. But don't start telling me that you're somehow living a live that is extraordinary or somehow more in tune with how the world works because of it.

You should also be thankful that your life is affluent enough that you can express yourself in such ways.

I'm not referring to anyone in particular here, of course. I'm just thinking about gripes I've had in the past.

Fashion of all kinds annoys me, even though I like to wear clothes that I think look good.

I wouldn't classify myself as one, i mean, I used to be an Athiest, no religions at all, & i was teased, but since iv'e been going to a church with my cousin that is for Mormons, they classify me as one, & i don't see the difference between Christians & Mormons, but when I told my friend that I was becoming a Mormon, he completely freaked out just cuz he was a Christian.. & now we don't talk..

The thing is, people don't understand that what you said is basically exactly right. Some religions are the EXACT SAME THING, just with a few different traditions! I don't understand why you should hate on any religion, much less one that is almost exactly like your own!

You guys probably knew this already, but I don't like religion. Not when it is hierarchical and based upon things we cannot verify. And not when it is used as a replacement for rigorous self reflection.
