that's mainly because i'm lesbian/bisexual/idon'tevenknowanymore.
Well then please avoid serious discussion, being biased doesn't really help with arguments.
in which case we should all leave. we're all biased in some way, because otherwise we wouldn't even be arguing.

Sorry to rain on anyone's parade Ty, and I don't like arguments, But women are equal to men. While you try to say that the majority of men treat women as objects to be tossed around like a rag doll, There are many other men that believe in equal rights, such as the men on this topic (Lamb, Shadow, Bacon, etc). The only reason these guys are arguing is because the women of the topic (Ty, Boxy, etc) are kicking up a fuss about men, when, one of the women is lesbian and, in the multiple chats I have shared with her, she has shown her disinterest in men.

i never said this, please show me where i have said that the majority of men treat women like objects. i do understand that many men believe in equal rights, too. we aren't kicking up a fuss about men, we're standing up for our own opinions. just because one person is homosexual, does not mean they aren't entitled to an opinion. Hey, I'm asexual, so neither woman is sexually attracted to men in the way that heterosexual women are. You don't have to be sexually attracted to someone in order to be entitled your opinion on them.

Boxy has proven to be INCREDIBLY biased towards men. not trying to offend her or anyone else but.... you can't just go around trying to prove that all men or even most men treat women as objects. (especially when you have even admitted you hate men. Not referring to boxy, but to women that have done that.) the only men that treat women like objects are the ones you hear about. You never hear about the guys that try to respect women, and help fight for their rights. DON'T EVEN TRY TO SAY THERE ARE NONE. I really don't understand why one sex should have dominance over another, and I don't feel like women should be allowed to hit men, but frowned upon if men hit women. NOBODY SHOULD HIT ANYBODY...... Women and men are equal in every way possible, except women carry kids and usually take care of them more than men. those are the only basic differences, anatomy however, is another story. i agree with this. thing is, when men think of women having power, they think of women oppressing men as the men have oppressed women. i agree with this too. some people might say they'd just hit them back, but the only thing i have to say is: if someone that is a lot weaker than you hits you, don't hit them back. chances are they didn't hurt you and you'll really hurt them. just be the bigger person and walk away. regardless of gender. However, I do not agree with this. Women aren't equal to men. Men aren't equal to women. We can never be, however the rights we want are the ones we can be equal in.
the whole point of feminism is to try and get men and women on the same level, so they should be equal. however, they're definitely not equal on the level of pain each gender has to go through.
that was dramatic. still ready 2 die tho!

One: The majority of men thing was a point I stated, I didn't read anywhere you stated it. Two: If you're having a fight over men getting paid more and stuff like that, then yes, you're kicking up a fuss, and unless I'm mistaken, it was one of the females that started the whole pay thing. Three: While I agree you don't have to be attracted to a sex to have an opinion, she should have some idea of what men do and say, I mean, there are men like Gandhi and MLK in this world that fight for women's rights (I'm not saying that they're well known, they're just a speck of sand in an on going war). Nevertheless, they still fight for women's rights, and I bet all the men on here will fight too, if this pointless argument was to end. @ Boxy: Feminists can't change the way that people were made. They can't change the fact that men can't have children, and the pain is solely because only women can have children. Now, I'm not sure if there is other pain, you don't really mention any, but just tell me.

Fair enough, I simply misunderstood your post, my apologies for that (: The thing still standing - while a person should understand the people they're discussing - is how sexual orientation matters. Why was this brought to the table? I'm actually genuinely curious about this.

I do not agree with the first part, it is not even a majority. On either accounts. It is simply a higher ratio of abuse of women by men than men by women. There are well defined reasons for that such as men being typically built to have high amounts of strength and a chemical signal that causes:moodiness, aggression, and a rise in libido. Women have a change in them that causes similar symptoms, exempting the last one which can be replaced with pain. Say that I'm pinning women's emotions down to the period, you are one quarter right, I am pinning the emotions of men down to spikes in testosterone. Which if women had instead of men, they would realise just the severity. The changes in a human being's life cannot be measured by these cycles I understand. So... If we move away from biology and look a little at factors of history here. Women have enough rights that they can sit down and move along with their lives just like the other several billion people. It reminds me of how some of us scots hate the guts out of our English neighbours all because of how they picked on us throughout history. That is exactly the thing woman have ingrained in their minds, it's that things have changed for the better but there is a few things we don't like so lets change it! What I'm trying to say is here. That it doesn't matter what factors exist, we have to grit our teeth and get on with life. Tolerate the other side. Straight or dare I use the term, gay (I am not going to write a whole other paragraph about how I do not mind gay people, three gay real life friends is testimony enough) or even Bi or Asexual, wether you are republican or democrat, labour or conservatives, man or bloody woman. I will stick my hand up and say that I harbour no hostilities to those on the opposing side of anything, they have not done me wrong so until they personally do I will tolerate each individual one of them. Ladies, if one man or a group of men happen to be sacks of waste, remember that there are several billion others, every man on earth could stand before you and you would not be able to see them all the way out to the horizon, not all of them are also wastes of half the populous of the world. And dudes, like myself, lets take up some chivalry, open the door for a woman, allow them to go first because if you give them a reason to dislike you then they will. As humans we are all one species, different genders, races, faiths, etc;but we have one thing in common, we are all human, all on earth, all in the same planetary boat, if one side hits the others with their oars, they can't row, basically it's just pointless to argue because that just sows more arguments. Post will most likely have some points were the argument will be extended by, but the one thing we can all say is that we are human. That's what we are, and everybody should start at that, don't look at anyone as that until you can say, "what a nice human they are." Then you can look at the other parts.

i meant why was it mentioned in that your opinion is different because of that and thanks, i guess (: asexuality is a complicated thing, however... but that's not for this thread
