Kind of weird Belgium hasn't been mentioned here.... they're on terror level 3 and all my friends are freaking out there. Somebody sent me a picture of le grande place and it looked like a war zone... Schools shut down for 2 weeks and the airport closed too.

French people protesting FOR refugees and peace.
https://www.rt.com/news/323062-paris-clashes-refugee-protest/
At least there still are people like that in France, hopefully they can bring down Hollande's govt.
Funniest part is the police tried to "protect" them by further attacks, thus they hit them with batons and pepper spray.
Seriously i feel like France needs a change of politics soon.
I mean look at Greece, all those civilian deaths, all those multi-dead protests, all the beating up by cops, and things are only going worse. Youd better care in FR to avoid having the same issues

When there's a nationwide ban on protests and then you decide to go out and have a violent protest, I can't help but think you kind of had it coming.

how can you have the, "you had it coming" mindset of protesters who face violence but not imperial states who have constantly exploited the world for a hundred years or so and then sympathize with them when someone blows up their city despite said imperial state committing far worse atrocities against humanity in their colonial holdings.

Certainly, because banning protests is very democratic in itself.

Because not allowing your citizens to congregate in huge crowds of people when you were recently the target of a terrorist attack against a huge crowd of people is so 1984.

ACTUALLY had you read 1984, that's the reason that mass congregations there were banned. For the "safety" of the people. The only allowed congregations were, ofcourse, the "2 minutes Hate".
Please don't quote things you don't know about.
On the basis of logic for your argument, you beat people up to protect them? I suppose that makes sense since you don't kill them, just break a bone or 2. I seriously disagree with this logic though.
People protesting mostly know the risks for their protest. When people protest against xenophobia in Paris, you better believe they know that they might be blown up AND THEY DECIDE TO PROTEST NONETHELESS. That's why protesters are of the bravest people around, usually (no matter the reason of their protest)

Lol I studied it I know what it's about. That's why I picked it. Sarcasm.
If you've banned protests you can't go and let people have a protest because they're "brave". If you did and there was then an attack on the protest, you would be the one in the spotlight holding responsibility.
The way the violence started was that police were blocking the protesters from entering the plaza. The protesters attacked the police in order to break their ranks so that they could get to the plaza anyway. Do you expect the police to just lay back and be like "aight we're getting attacked but it's calm cause they're brave"?

Re: Paris Attacks Kill 129, Injure 350+
Actually the police is SUPPOSED to simply get attacked and stay defensive without hurting anyone in 90% of protests. If things get that hairy, maybe some tear gas to break apart the simple protesters and the real troublemakers.
Hitting anyone indiscriminately? Nup.
Noone is giving responsibility to the govt if a bunch of people gather and get blown up.
The only possible responsibility in that case the govt would have is at to simply identify the bodies.
So you pretty much said that France reminds you of 1984? Because otherwise your point doesn't make sense tbqh
If you did, that's cool because I totally agree.
Fascist-like government trying to rule the masses through fear and hate
