Considering women on the whole aren't getting killed or abused or outrageously discriminated against in the west, I think that's a valid comment to make. If someone made a comment concerning specifically the developing world and it's apparent lack of need of Feminism (according to them) then I would be worried.
Also, I'm very curious about the source of this information-'when will I get my rights'.
this post was instigated by somebody in real life saying feminism is never needed because nothing very bad ever happens when its not there - but as i posted the first half in the wrong topic i forgot to write about that

I don't see a problem with the video. You'll always get harassment.
Now, it's true that a female accumulates inappropriate harassment, where as males generally and automatically get the "arrogant", "Ignorant" and "disrespectful hard-man" stereotype.
Harassment comes in all forms and sizes, usually the insults worded are taken out of context, for example "He's so gay." Usually, in most cases they don't mean "homosexual" they just mean "stupid" or "idiocy."
You can't take the insult that has been taken out of context and use change it so it's against any form of equality
I'm all for equality. Political power, same wages and whatnot, but I have seen many females scream for equality one minute, and when in certain situations they get treated the same, they're the complete opposite. You can't pick and choose what rights you have, either you have them or you don't.

First Off- Women in the USA are hardly mistreated on a large scale, individual people do, but that goes the same for everyone. So yeah, Feminism isn't needed HERE. In placeslike Saudi Arabia, fuck yes it's needed, but you can't go and attack people like that, it isn't right, and you are actually discriminating against the gender you supposedly "support". Secondly- Being all politically correct isn't for everyone, I agree, people should know about their government, but they shouldn't go all lawyer if somebody says something a TWINGE incorrect. I don't think it is ok to make such a huge deal about American feminist movements, when we should be more concerned with places, like again, Saudi Arabia, or any kind of Arabic nation that pulls the same shit. Stop thinking about yourselves for once, and worry about people worse off than you , once that gets better, THEN you guys should bitch and moan about a guy saying Hi on the street.
