Wait, who's side do you think I'm on?
I'm all for Gay marriage.
I am also not religious.
What I was trying to show is that even if you are religious it doesn't mean that you have to be anti-gay. Cause the Bible can be interpreted in so many ways.
jeez, I'm not an homophobic moron, give me some credit...

I'm just against small minded-ness.
Which is absolutely ridiculous. So you guys are telling me, if your best friend came up to you, and told that he/she was bisexual, you would turn against them and never talk to them? thats what your making it sound like. Think about it
at least someone has a brain.
Thanks for protecting my title Orb.

If they choose to be gay, that shouldnt have anything to do with you,
ya know, unless they are after you, lulz,
but still, if your best friend decides to turn gay, you should be there to support them, and not try to talk them out of something they clearly have thought of on their own!
I disagree.
What if your best friend decides to jump of a bridge, would you be there to support them, and not try to talk them out of something they clearly have thought of on their own?
Of course not, so i dont see your point

Is no one thinking about the golden rule or the harm principle?
Very loosely, the harm principle (which is one much morality is based on) is one that deems actions not permissible (wrong) if and only if it causes harm to others.
There are problems with this rule in certain circumstances, but in general it is a rule societies employ to construct a moral framework.
Now, what I would like to know, all you naysayers, is where does homosexuality cause harm to anyone? If you have two (or more) consenting men or women in a relationship with each other, who in society at large could possibly be coming to harm?
Homosexuality causes psychological harm to some people. I mean, if you want to be gay, keep it in the bedroom, dont be all up in my face with your gayness.

you didnt even make a point there - you cant compare two totally different things
bein gay doesnt kill your friend does it? maybe it even helps him or her to not die because his sexual frustration and misery would lead to suicide otherwise

so does religion for example some even get sick by just seeing a straight couple kiss
suppressing your sexuality leads to frustration and that could lead to violence, hate ect.
do you want to kill every individuality / uniqueness thats existant in public?
R.I.P. Dad ... you'll never be forgotten!

And thats a different story!
There are some cases when you really need to listen to them!
You have to let them do what they want on their own. If they want to be gay, let them, if they want to jump off a bridge, let them!!
You can't decide for them, only they know what's right for themselves.

Re: Gay Marriage
Comparing suicide to sexuality? Oh please... How are they even relevantly connected?
And on the psychological harm note, Zados made a good response, if we stop homosexuality just because some people get upset by it, then we should stop strange fashions, all forms of non-conventional art and subcultures, and many other things.
If you believe in freedom of expression, then you cannot stop homosexuality on this basis.
