you can't stop education here until you're 18 anyway. so doesn't make a difference to us.

though it's obvious the kids here who "dropout" and miss the education that they have to have by law that they're not going far.

quitting school early is just plain stupid nowadays. Maybe 30 years ago it was fine, but doing it now is really going to screw up your chances of having a successful life. Unless you are some kind of visionary or genius, stick with school and and try the very best you can.

I'm not a dropout. Lord no. But my cousin, J.T is. Boy did he ever turn out horribly.
That's not to say all drop outs turn out thise way.
I'm friends with a few. They have good jobs, and money set back.

You won't become a huge fail if you drop out of high school. Rihanna dropped out when she was 17, and look where she is now. a big pop star. I'm not saying if you drop out, you'll become a pop star, I'm just saying that you won't always become a hobbo if you do. I certaintly won't encourage it either. O.o

You can't say the "UK Grading score", there many different exam boards and in Scotland a completely different education system. Each grading system is specific to that board and again to that territory, i.e England and Wales have A*, Scotland's A is equivalent to a A*, So, There is no UK Grading score.

And in Scotland, over the age of 16, if you're a less well off family you can get payed to stay on at school. Trying to encourage people to get better jobs In the future and not jump straight into the job market.
