Science - A Blessing or a Curse
Let the argument begin..................................
Is it correct to face reality when your only option is to hide yourself from the world

Re: Science - A Blessing or a Curse
This should be in Serious Discussion.
But I believe it's a blessing, since, without science, we wouldn't have cures for diseases. Also, we would really have electricity or anything that the world has to offer today.

Mostly because it allows you to set up a topic conversating whether its a blessing or a curse, with people around the world…

Re: Science - A Blessing or a Curse
Science has taught us many great things, like said before, cures for diseases that could've wiped us out. But, some disocervies and inventions of science have had a very bad consequence, like pollution.
It matters about what specific or even general topic of Science. Science is way to vague. There's so many subjects.
But, over all, it's more of a blessing than curse, but is still considered a curse to me.

Benefits outweigh the cons.
The number of people killed from WMD's isnt even close to te number of people that died of diseases, that have been cured by science.
Diseases such as the black plague for example.
Or even cancer. (oh yes, search for Max Gerson. The pharmaceutical companies got him though

Everything in the universe has its uses and abuses. The same applies to science. Science has revolutionized the human existence. It has made man's life happier and more comfortable

Blessing.
Our human nature is to be curious, of how to do things, how things work, etc.
This feeds our curiosity. Even if you hate DOING science, you can still learn from it with fun, watching video's, cool clips, ETC.
If it wasn't for science we wouldn't be able to build things, create long-distance communications, travelling, eating, medical cures.
With our resources, we can see when or if an asteroid (etc) will hit, and we may even be able to blow it up before it does hit.
So all in all, it's a blessing.

Re: Science - A Blessing or a Curse
I think it is a blessing. But also a curse. The reason is it can lead to people into cures. It can also lead people to war. Either nuclear or medicines. but most likely it would be a blessing. Now people are drinking better. Like milk for example. we have learned to pasteurize it. So my opinion blessing

A "blessing". Naturally, humans seek answers. We also fear the unknown. By finding these answers (through science) we are able to stabilize our mental world, and become more confident as a global society.
